Arjuna perpetually puts on personas or masks and constantly adapting to different social situations, overanalyzing them since he naturally struggles understanding other people. He also likes money, considering his generational wealth as payment for not having a "real family." In high school his dad was outed on public news outlets for corruption, which made little to no change in his social life, but he considers a notable moment growing up. He is generally avoidant of "normal" sex since he considers it a primal and animalistic act, something he strives to have control over.Juna likes to do little "social experiments" throughout his life, which are basically just him manipulating certain aspects of his behavior or the people around him to study the results. He calls this his "research" or "projects". His current project is of course the give-and-take sexual relationship with Halim, a complete stranger. He writes all of this in a private blog.

▶️ Khayalan Tingkat Tinggi - Peterpan A close figure with everyone else in the building, but nobody seems to actually know where he came from. His tattoos and piercing has fueled rumors of him being a former criminal. Halim is very friendly, easy to talk to and diplomatic, often giving advice or help to people, yet never allowing others to know him intimately. The store he runs is not his main income, but he does spend a lot of time in it cataloguing and researching things, while also dealing with sellers and buyers. He's a pretty decent craftsman and forges many vintage and antique items for profit (this isn't the criminal past everyone thinks he has though, most of his peers knows his stuff is faked). He's also a bit of a romantic poet himself.While Halim has a certain kink for younger, meek partners, and definitely not uncomfortable playing a sadistic dominant role, he's generally an old-fashioned guy who just thinks it's normal for man to have a high sex drive. There is only one topic able to shake his calm and collected demeanor, and that is if you ask him about his past. He seems to be hiding something he doesn't want anyone to know — maybe not even himself, if possible.

His massive resume of organizational experience and testimonies from his colleagues, along with his pretty decent grades, has sealed his fate as an aspirational student. Kai is in the same friend group as Arjuna since middle school and would even consider each other somewhat of a close friend, but his financial condition is not as stable as theirs, fueling his ambitious nature. Not everyone likes him though as some perceive his kindness as a farce. Kai exerts a lot of control in his everyday life, so he uses his position in a campus band as a bass guitarist for an emotional outlet.Kai has excessive sexual guilt and represses his interests in hard BDSM. His sadistic streak is the reason his previous partners eventually dumped him. He thinks of it as a part of him he doesn't want to ever face, and tries to enjoy normal things instead. He's also proven to be very obsessive once he gets attached to something, be it certain life goals or a person. When he gets extremely distressed or can't reach his ambitions, he resorts to destructive behavior. His familial issues also made him a bit of a materialist.

The Antique Marketplace

Halim's store is located on the uppermost floor of a rundown building in the old city center. Most of the antique and vintage shops consists of collectors or some kind of hobbyist community, but mas Halim and his friends are treated as "representatives" of the entire floor most of the time. When they need help, like entrusting keys to someone else, finding a shopkeeper, or even connecting them to buyers, they usually come to Halim and his clique first.Some of this sense of authority comes from their legally dubious bussiness relations. Sometimes, suspicious looking people come to the floor, and mas Halim is the one to deal with them.

Mas Halim's shop is a slightly cramped space filled to the brim with various items and smells of constantly-burning incense. He usually sells antique art decorations, from statues, signs to paintings, both things he makes and items he acquired from others. A lot of his money comes from faux-antique pieces commissions.Mas Halim also likes to keep his shop somewhat clean, although it's a herculean task to keep up with everything he puts on display there.He also has an office space to catalogue and research things. There he keeps old magazines and clippings of multiple topics. The office space is pretty off limits even to his 'friends' in the building, with certain drawers and cupboards tightly locked.

Juna's Friend Group

Juna and his friends originally came from the same afterschool program to get into the university they're currently in. They're mostly high-achieving and upper-middle-class students, although not restricted to the usual college student shenanigans as well.
Juna and some of his friends frequent a night club in around the same area mas Halim's marketplace is.

Arjuna, the son of a wealthy but famously corrupt member of the parliament, accidentally ruined an item in a local vintage shop. The owner--- Mas Halim--- a friendly older man with unfriendly rumors surrounding his past, refuses Juna's compensation money and instead demands him to work in the shop. Juna proposes an arrangement between them to safely explore each other's curiosities and pent-up sexual repression. Things get a bit complicated when Kai, one of Juna's peers, is roped into the ordeal and develops an obsession over him.
